Holiday Lock down

These last few weeks have been challenging for us , we've just got back from the cook islands , and we were on 14 days isolation , so no work less money and living of what we have. everyone's getting back to work now so were slowly getting back on our feet and things are going great. This lock down also makes our learning feel different , us working at home isn't normal at all , but for now were going to have to put up with it , and maybe we'll get used to it. During the 14 days Isolation we've just been relaxing and settling in,
We weren't aloud to leave the house , so we got our family members to get us groceries.
Now that the 14 day isolation is done , everyone is starting to get back into training and work.
So we'll just see how long this lock down goes on , and hopefully we can make it through.

What do you know about the Treaty of Waitangi ?

I know that the moari culture people signed

a contract with the European.

What is our opinion on the Treaty ? I don't think the Maoris knew what they were signing.

What do I want to know about the Treaty of Waitangi?

I want to know if the moari people were strangers or friends
with the Europeans before they signed the contract.

Culture: A way of life, beliefs, customs

and traditions of how people live.

Rangatira: The name of a Maori leader

or chief or a tribe.

Samoa Fale

In samoa there is a way of building huts which they call fale's .
They strip off coconut husks and rap it all tightly together to be used as a rope to hold the surface.
And they also use the core of it to hold it together from the sides.

The husk from the coconuts are very strong when you rap them together as a rope, it helps keep the fale still and steady. There are a lot more tools and materials you need to make this but these are the main things you need to make a Fale .

I think this is a good way of choosing our new government because people have their own interests and thoughts about them.

Little kids are soon to grow up being obese, People eating unhealthy and this could lead up to diabetes.
Parents need to discipline their children to use their money Wisely. This is a warning for people that are eating unhealthy and that want to carry on eating like this. There are too many kids eating unhealthy and no ones thinking about their health and weight that they could come up to in the future.

Thursday 13th of September Room 13 did a presentation for life education trust. What we did for it was explain how a digestive system works and all the different steps through out the digestive system. My partner was Nadia and she was pretty confident she didn't really have a loud voice but at least people could still hear her. I read my 
part and i thought i was confident, I wasn't 
 eating my words and for myself I thought i
 did a pretty good job.

Mr Tafea Rm 13s reliever

Mr Tafea 

On a Monday Rm 13s normal teacher didn't attend school so we had a reliever. How reliever was Mr Tafea and he is real funny . I learnt two things on that day, I learnt that cows need to eat and drink  very well to make good quality milk for their calf's. What i also learnt was how to divide fractions and it's actually easy. This term room 13 has been working on ANZAC and what weave been doing for ANZAC is looking at some videos with our deputy head principle Miss Wrack and seeing what our New Zealand warriors have been through and from what iv'e seen they've been through a lot. After we watched the video Miss Wrack thought of a really cool idea and that idea was to do a little bit of writing. Room 13 used their 5 senses on the video that we watched and Miss Wrack said what we need to do is at least get a level three sentence and she gave us level three, That is what we have done or term 1.

Turbo touch

 On a Wednesday  Glen Taylor school senior students  have a Auckland touch trainer that tell's us students how to play a game called turbo touch. Turbo touch is basically just football but the touching version rather then tackling. In turbo touch what we do Is learn how to start a game of turbo touch off and how to start a game of turbo touch is you just have to tap the ball with your foot and you then can run with the ball but before you score a try you have to at least pass the ball five times. That is what Glen Taylor School senior students do on a Wednesday morning.

Family fun day

On a Saturday Glen Taylor School had a family fun day Which is just something that we do for Glen Taylor students parents to get to know our teachers. Family fun day is also what we do to have fun, play games, do swimming activities, and have a free BBQ for everyone. We actually invited a few marist rugby club coaches to show some of our students that they can do anything and nothings stopping them. Saturday was a really fun day and that's what we all came for I think that Saturday was a really great day and I also think that all the parents enjoyed it too.
